WBJEE 2024 Important Details
The West Bengal Government holds the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam as a joint entrance examination for admission to a variety of public and private institutions for engineering, pharmacy, and architecture programmes in universities, government colleges, and self-financing engineering & technical institutes in West Bengal. WBJEE 2024 is expected to be held in the last week of April 2024.

WBJEE Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must meet the following requirements in order to be qualified to take the WBJEE 2024 exam-
- The applicant must be an Indian national.
- The candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2024. Candidates must have been born on or before December 12, 2007..
- passed the 10+2 exam or an equivalent test with Physics, Mathematics, and either Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical, or Vocational subjects as required.
- The candidate for the General category must have received at least 45% in the aforementioned subjects.
- Candidates from the SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories must receive at least 40% of the available points.
- Candidates must have earned at least 30% in English in their 10+2 diploma.
- The relevant Central or State Government should recognize the Board of the qualifying examination.
Exam Pattern for WBJEE in 2024
Exam Mode: The WBJEE 2024 exam will be administered in offline mode by the authority..
Question: There are 155 questions total in the test, 40 for physics, 40 for chemistry, and 75 for math. The tests consist of objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
Duration: Candidates will have two hours for each of the two exam papers.
Question Paper Language: Papers 1 and 2 will both be in English.

WBJEE 2024 Application Process
The tentative for the WBJEE 2024 online application is the fourth week of December 2024.
Before submitting an application for WBJEE 2024, keep the following in mind:
- Name, Father's and Mother's names, Gender, Date of Birth, and other information must be put on the form and cannot normally be amended, modified, or edited.
- Both the signature and the photo must be scanned and uploaded.
- Corrective action must be made within a day if a candidate receives any communication about a difference in the photo or signature they provided.
- For participating in WBJEE 2024, a candidate must pay an application fee of INR 500. (Rs. 400 for reserved categories). The application fee for WBJEE 2024 shall be paid online using Net Banking, Credit card, Debit card, and UPI.
- Once a candidate has submitted an application successfully, a copy of the confirmation page should be saved for correspondence in the future.
WBJEE 2024 Admit Card
- Candidates will be able to access their WBJEE admission cards starting in the 3rd to 4th week of April 2024.
- The information that a candidate submits during an online application is not verified by WBJEE. A candidate's information would be the only basis used to issue admit cards.
- Only up until the exam date can a candidate generate duplicate admit cards. To obtain a duplicate admit card, the candidate must apply to the Board and pay a processing cost of INR 500.
- The candidate would not be permitted to take the exam without bringing a printed hard copy of the admit card to the examination center.
WBJEE 2024 Results
Rank cards representing the results of the WBJEE 2024 will be made available on the official website. With the aid of the application number and password, the outcome can be retrieved. All pertinent ranks, total scores, qualifying status, and component scores for each paper are included on WBJEE Rank Cards.
WBJEE 2024 Counselling
The following elements affect the ranking (General Merit Rank) for the WBJEE:
- This list will be created using the combined score from Papers I and II.
- Ranking will be done in descending order of all subjects' combined final grades.
- Based on GMR, counselling, and admission would be conducted.
- Admission to engineering, technology, and architecture courses would be based on GMR.
WBJEE 2024 Seat Allocation Process
Once the results are announced, a separate notification including information on e-counseling, seat allocation, and admission will be posted on https://wbjeeb.nic.in/
Before counselling and allotment, the seats that are available for the programmes and institutions offered by the relevant authorities will be announced.
At designated times, Reporting Centers will verify the credentials of candidates taking part in e-counseling.
